Finally i have made some time to sit down and write my first review, and what better product to start with than my favourite cosmetic range by ‘Purity Organic Skincare’.
I first came across this range back in 2010 while I was a contestant on ‘The X-Factor’. I was given a goodie bag full of different products by many different cosmetic companies and was spoilt for choice! It wasn’t until recently though, that i got into using this fantastic range and ever since I’ve become ADDICTED.
Purity Organic are a British, eco- conscious brand that characterise their product with a “less is more” approach. All of their products are made from almost completely organic, sustainably grown ingredients, also stating that a very high percentage of their products come from natural origin. Their products do not contain any ingredients that are petroleum -based and/or genetically modified and are completely free from parabens (no added preservatives or nasty chemicals!), and also fragrance free, perfect for people with sensitive skin. If this isn’t appealing enough, it’s super affordable and the packaging is so cute! I love it.
On their website they sell their product in two ranges:
The Morning Range, which consists of:
• Facial Wash
• Facial Exfoliator
• Facial Moisturiser
• Anti-ageing moisturiser
• Anti-ageing mask and serum
And The Evening Range, consisting of:
• Conditioning Cleansing Lotion
• Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser
I will only be reviewing a few of their products as i have never used the anti-ageing products in their range. One thing I can’t forget to mention about this fantastic range is that almost all of their products are vegetarian and vegan friendly (except the Facial Moisturiser and Regenerating Overnight Facial Moisturiser, which both contain beeswax).
[I have taken all the images and information given about each product from the Purity Organic website as they give a very clear percentage of the natural and organic origin of their product and where some of their ingredients are sourced.]
I’m going to start with the Facial Exfoliator.
100ml - £5.99
98% Natural; 89% Organic
A deep pore cleanser uses rounded, ground coconut shell to exfoliate within a blend of softening, moisturising retaining and conditioning Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Glycerine and Aloe Vera to leave your skin cleaner, softer and brighter.
Added Xanthum Gum thickens and stabilises. The Coconut is sourced from the French Republic.
I absolutely love this facial scrub! The creamy texture leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised and the coconut shell as a scrub is just perfect. Sometimes you find with facial scrubs they are either too tough on the skin and leave it feeling a bit raw if used everyday. I find with this it’s just the perfect balance. As i stated earlier, Purity Organic’s range is fragrance free, but the scent from the oils used (coconut and almond) is absolute heaven! For me, a definite must have product in my bathroom.
The Facial Moisturiser,
50ml - £5.99
98% Natural; 85% Organic
"A light whipped-mousse moisturiser with a blend of moisturising, softening and moisture-retaining Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, and anit-oxidant Vitamin E which helps condition the skin, leaving it soft and balanced. Added Beeswax soothes, softens and protects the skin."
The Shea Butter is sourced from West Africa, the Vitamin E sourced from the UK.
There are very few moisturisers that I can find that don’t leave my skin feeling ridiculously greasy and this is definitely one of them! I have a combination skin type, so a lot of moisturisers leave my face feeling really greasy which makes me feel grubby and in turn makes me over wash my face thus turning into a vicious cycle!
You will find that the moisturiser isn’t a cream, but actually a mousse so it’s quite thick and lasts a long time if you use it efficiently. At first, I made the mistake of using too much on my face and it would take a while for it to absorb. Now, I only use a small amount, just enough to cover my finger tip. I rub it between my hands to warm it up (this activates the oils in the product) then I gently rub and press it onto my face and neck using my palms until it absorbs. I try not to rub products into my face too often as this stretches the skin and causes the appearance of wrinkles. I love this moisturiser, it helps alleviate the dry patches and really leaves my skin feeling super soft. I can’t do without it! The only thing that would make it that bit better is if it had an SPF included within it, to protect my face from everyday rays and help slow down the ageing process of my skin, (because we all know that too much sun exposure is bad for our precious epidermis!).
The Conditioning Cleansing Lotion,
Purity Conditioning Cleansing Lotion / Make-Up Remover
150ml - £4.99
98% Natural; 83% Organic
"An effective skin conditioning cleanser with a blend of clever ingredients which effectively break down and gently remove the day’s grime and make-up. Special ingredients combine with the softening, moisture retaining and conditioning Sweet Almond Oil, Aloe Vera and Glycerine base: Oats condition and restore, Amino Acids help skin to absorb moisture, Avocado Oil conditions the skin, and Euphrasia and Rose Water tones the skin."
Now, THIS is what turned me to using Purity Organic in the first place. I’m not a fan of using wipes to remove my make-up, I find it makes my skin sore and irritated. I remember when i was younger, my grandmother gave me a cleansing milk to help me remove my make-up and it really worked a treat and left my skin feeling pampered and supple. So, I knew straight away i would love this, I don’t use anything else! It’s very light and after using it to remove my make up (either by massaging into the face and rinsing with water or by wiping away excess with cotton wool pads), it absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it fresh and very soft. It also, like the rest of these products has a pleasant light natural fragrance from the ingredients it’s made with.
Lastly the Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser,
50ml - £7.99
98% Natural; 76% Organic
"A deep, repairing and healing cream, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax and Aloe Vera soften and protect the skin. Ceramide 3 reinforces the moisture barrier of the skin and improves long term moisturisation, protecting against sustained daytime environmental damage. Added Vitamin E improves the health of the skin, leaving it restored, regenerated and ready to face another day."
The Beeswax is sourced from France.
This is less dense than the Facial Moisturiser and absorbs a lot easier into the skin. The great thing about this is that you can apply it liberally to the skin and leave it to soften the skin and alleviate any dryness over night. After I do my evening skin regime I apply this to my face and wake up with noticeably softer and hydrated skin.
Overall, I absolutely love this brand. My skin loves this brand! And i love how eco-conscious they are, with lots of news , info promotions and an informed choices section on their website about how we can help look after our environment and work together to make a change. I would definitely recommend this brand to everyone, or to at least give it a try because of course, everyone is different and what might work for my skin might not for yours.

I decided to make a new edit of this picture because I had many people accusing that “it’s not the same person” because I had cropped my face out and because of my breast size…has anyone ever heard of a push up bathing suit? 🙌 I actually take it as a compliment because it proves my point that it is possible to grow booty. A year and a half ago I had lost the majority of my weight with lots of cardio and plyometric workouts. I wasn’t doing any squats, clearly. Once I lost the weight I started to focus purely on weight training. I lifted weights 3-4 times a week, using one of the days to focus only on legs and glutes. The exercise I feel has helped the most is a heavy wide stance squat, toes pointing out, with a small plate under my heels. This activates the hamstrings and glutes even more. I would do 3 sets of 10 reps with little break between (using a 40 lb dumbbell, but please use a light weight to start and slowly increase). This squat has to be done super slow. A single squat should last 8 seconds: 4 seconds down, 4 seconds up. Really squeeze on your way up. Every 2 weeks increase the weight by 5-10 lbs. This is just one exercise that I did to help me grow my booty but make sure to incorporate squat jumps, lunges, step ups, leg extensions, hamstring curls, hip thrusters and more. I will try my hardest to get you guys some video demonstrations! 🙌💕 If I can do it, you most definitely can too.
